Iker Elorrieta is a director-writer, cinematographer and editor based in Bilbao (Basque Country). His work seeks to explore themes of identity, resilience, and human connection, with a distinctive visual style and unique sensitivity that captures both intimate and emotive narrative and non-narrative projects.

Iker began his career in 2001, working as an editor and camera operator on television documentaries, later joining the post-production department at Filmax Entertainment. Following this experience, he dedicated several years to directing and producing promotional and advertising projects, working with brands such as Nike and collaborating on commercials or Tv docusoaps for Canal+, Adidas and others.

In 2017, he produced, directed, and filmed the documentary I Forgot Myself Somewhere, a project focused on women’s education in northern Pakistan. The documentary received international acclaim for its focus on human rights.

In 2020, he wrote, produced, directed, and filmed his first fiction feature film, El Radioaficionado (The Radio Amateur). The film premiered in the "First Feature Competition" section of Estonia's Black Nights Film Festival (2021) and had its Spanish premiere in the San Sebastián Film Festival.

Iker is currently developing his second feature-length fiction film while balancing his work with teaching and collaborating on various film and commercial projects.
